About Us
OIC of South Florida is a workforce development organization with a long-standing legacy of helping youth and adults remove barriers, build confidence, gain skills, and access career pathways that lead to economic mobility. Through our Youth & Family Services Division, we strengthen the next generation of the workforce by combining academic enrichment, STEAM exposure, employability skills, and wraparound guidance—so students can succeed in school and thrive beyond it.
About the Role
OIC of South Florida is hiring a STEAM Success Coach to support high school students in our STEAMWorks program—an after-school pathway focused on academic readiness, career guidance, workforce preparation, and wraparound supports for youth and families.
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with teens, is organized and relationship-driven, and knows how to help young people stay engaged, overcome barriers, and build a real plan for their future.
Key Responsibilities
• Recruit and enroll high school students into STEAMWorks
• Provide 1:1 success coaching (academic + career + personal development support)
• Conduct intakes/assessments and coordinate referrals (transportation, basic needs, tutoring, counseling, accommodations)
• Facilitate My10YearPlan and help students build Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
• Lead group sessions and skill-building workshops
• Coordinate field trips/STEAM exposure experiences and support internships/summer components
• Track attendance, credentials, services, and progress (grant/KPI-aligned documentation)
What Success Looks Like
• Students demonstrate improved confidence and academic skills
• Strong attendance, engagement, and learning habits
• Increased readiness for STEAM learning activities
• Clear documentation supporting student progress
Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelor’s in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field OR Associate’s + relevant experience
• Youth services, mentoring, coaching, and/or case management experience
• Strong communication + writing skills; organized and deadline-driven
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation
• Must pass Level II background screening
• Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) a plus
Competitive Benefits Package offered:
Available medical, dental and vision coverage. Employer-paid benefits include STD, LTD, ADD/Life; 403-B retirement/investment savings plan contribution.
