About This Position
Position Summary
To provide nutritional evaluation, consultation and education to the bariatric client.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment and Education
2. Documentation of Care
3. Facilitate Education Classes/Support Groups
4. Development of Nutritional Education Materials
5. Community Outreach
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or related field
Preferred: None
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required: 2 years of clinical, community or out-patient services in the field of nutrition
Preferred: 3 or more years of clinical, community or out-patient services in the field of bariatric nutrition.
License, Registry or Certification:
Required: Current/Valid NJ Registered Dietitian license
Preferred: None
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required: Basic computer skills, excellent communication skills and customer service oriented
Preferred: Advanced computer skills, experience in facilitating group education and/or public speaking experience
