Job Description
Responsibilities
The incumbent is to present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all Norton Healthcare standards, policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for upholding the Norton Healthcare Values, namely: respect for every individual, delivery of quality service, constant pursuit of excellence and commitment to integrity. He or she must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of radiology and/or laboratory. The Manager of Laboratory Service is responsible for oversight and coordination of all laboratory functions in all facilities of the Norton Medical Group. This includes quality assurance and clinical education in all locations for all laboratory services provided. Provides assistance to practice/center managers coordinating for office licensure/accreditation and staff credentials in areas of laboratory. Oversight of all regulations (local, state, and federal) affecting laboratory areas. Provide education to staff and providers in areas such as safety, compliance, and procedural workflow as necessary.

Key Accountabilities:
- Identifies data needed to understand problems and opportunities; integrates and analyzes data; looks for possible solutions and impact; makes timely and effective decisions; identifies work processes and priorities that are in alignment with NHC strategic plans.
- Works independently in making timely decisions to the successful operation of the department(s) assigned. Assures all staff under his/her supervision complete tasks and meet assigned deadlines.
- Directly responsible for Ancillary cost centers and budgets Directly supervises any capital projects such as purchasing capital equipment, working with construction projects on designs of potential new laboratory.
- Analyses, improves, and reports out the revenue and cost per visit/test in the areas of laboratory for all locations.
- Consistently and effectively works with internal and external entities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance in the oversight, design, and implementation of all laboratory operations across the division.
Qualifications
Required:
- With a Bachelor Degree: one year of experience in a laboratory setting
- Without a Bachelor Degree: five years of experience in a laboratory or radiology setting
