About This Position
We are looking for a Junior Interior Design to join us, working in all phases of the commercial interiors process through construction, procurement, installation and post turnover. You will perform a broad range of design and documentation tasks including but not limited to: Producing and updating REVIT and CAD drawings and 3D conceptualizing. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors. Collaborate with senior designers and project managers in a variety of tasks to ensure design intent is carried through. Sourcing of FF&E for a variety of multifamily and commercial concepts. Participating in meetings, taking notes and translating feedback into actionable design updates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· A minimum of 3-years of experience functioning as a design assistant, junior interior designer or interior architect in the multi-family market or similar.
· Strong sense of urgency, organization and close attention to detail a must. Excellent communication, research and problem-solving skills a must. Need to be able to act, presenting information as things arise with possible solutions.
· Maintain up to date and organized shared physical (as needed) and electronic files, primarily in Programa, BlueBeam Revu, REVIT, CAD, Excel and Word.
· Generate and maintain ongoing updating of plan sets inclusive of specifications, elevations, custom furniture and millwork distributed to architectural partners and construction teams. Plans are developed in REVIT and AutoCAD following in-house style guidelines.
· Participate in creating specification documents, scope sheets, presentation decks and turnover packages.
· Work with in house construction teams to communicate design intent and clarification as needed.
· Work with team on procurement, vendor relations and assist with warehouse coordination both local and out of state.
· Provide onsite support and assist with coordination of installation & logistics teams, including construction, movers, labor, vendors, building management – both local and out of state. Requires post installation documentation to close out job.
· Participate in the selection of FF&E and presentation when required. This includes FF&E replacements for annual improvements at existing buildings, working with our finance and property management teams.
· Documentation of existing conditions and field verification for building refreshes.
· Ability to stand, lift, carry, climb, and stoop for extended periods of time and multiple days in a row during installations and warehouse days.
· Installation requires out of state travel for typically a week at a time.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
· Experience with multifamily building types a plus.
· Basic understanding of construction process, construction drawings and documents.
· Self-motivated and confident problem solver with a positive attitude, taking initiative when needed. Having the ability to present and articulate ideas and analyze.
· Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD. Previous experience in BlueBeam Revu, Excel, Word, Photoshop and Outlook required. In Design, Programa, and Sketchup a plus.
· Out of state travel required. Some local travel is required for site visits, vendor meetings, installation and warehouses.
· Not a remote position.
