OESC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist I to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This person will be based out of the Milwaukee, WI office on a Hybrid Schedule (Three Days in Office, Two Days WFH).
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting employees throughout their lifecycle in the organization. This role will involve a mix of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance to foster a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the onboarding process from the offer letter creation through their first day.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Conduct investigations and assist in resolving employee conflicts and grievances.
- Support performance appraisal processes and assist managers in setting performance goals.
- Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
- Facilitate onboarding and training sessions for new hires.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics for management review.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Support organizational events and activities that promote team building.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 6+ years of experience in HR or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in HR or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous SCA Wage Experience
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 + Benefits (Based on Experience)
