Position Summary
This is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the staff as well as monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
• Utilizes ACT’s warehouse and production software (Microsoft dynamics AX) to perform all inventory related transactions.
• Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
• Maintains accurate stock counts as the centralized parts warehouse for lighting products.
• Ensures all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse.
• Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule.
• Schedules materials being transferred to and from the warehouse; coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.
• Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
• Monitors expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed.
• Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
• Resolves routine equipment issues.
• Coordinate with our purchasing staff regarding the import & export of material and finished products.
• Coordinate with our other north American facilities regarding parts and component stock needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Responsible for hiring and training of new employees.
• Schedules and oversees warehouse staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
• Associate degree in Business or similar discipline preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in distribution or manufacturing required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory software and systems required, NetSuite and Microsoft AX experience preferred..

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Frequently required to stand.
• Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Additional remarks regarding work environment: Warehouse is not climate controlled.
• Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Forklift, powered pallet wrapping turntable, manual pallet strapping equipment.
