About This Position
We’re hiring a skilled Manual Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision work and wants long-term stability in a family-owned company.
Production Castings, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in custom zinc and aluminum die cast components. With over 50 years of experience, we serve automotive, industrial, consumer, and defense industries and are committed to quality, technology, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will operate manual machine tools to produce high-precision parts and components. You’ll work from blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency in every job.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools to produce metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Set up and calibrate machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety procedures are followed
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on manual machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes
