About the Role:

The Truck Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of commercial diesel trucks by performing thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various mechanical systems. This position requires expertise in maintaining and repairing braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, axles, and diesel engines to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan. The mechanic will work closely with fleet managers and drivers to identify mechanical issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a truck mechanic or diesel mechanic with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, braking systems, drive trains, suspensions, and axles.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry heavy weights regularly.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean safety record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from a recognized diesel mechanic or automotive technician program.
  • Experience working with computerized diagnostic tools and software.
  • Familiarity with federal and state transportation safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a fleet maintenance environment.

Responsibilities:
