This role is a high-impact commercial leadership position focused on driving growth across specialized laboratory services within the life sciences and clinical research space. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing strategic business opportunities across biobanking, sample preparation, and advanced lab service offerings. Acting as a key commercial driver, you will build strong relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO clients while shaping tailored solutions that meet complex scientific and operational needs. The role blends strategic business development with technical understanding, requiring close collaboration with internal scientific, operational, and marketing teams. You will operate in a fast-paced, highly specialized environment where relationship-building, scientific credibility, and commercial acumen are critical. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional passionate about advancing healthcare innovation through laboratory services.

Accountabilities:
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across bioservices offerings, including biobanking, sample preparation, and specialty laboratory services.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO organizations to drive long-term business growth.
  • Lead the full sales cycle including lead qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
  • Develop project budgets and pricing models in collaboration with internal scientific and operational experts.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support, and Production teams to ensure seamless client delivery and alignment.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, industry events, and client meetings to strengthen market presence and pipeline development.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and opportunity management using CRM systems.
  • Expand existing accounts while identifying new market opportunities within assigned territories or regions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant sales experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years, or PhD with 0–1 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proven track record in business development or sales within pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO environments.
  • Experience selling lab services such as biobanking, sample preparation, or specialty laboratory solutions.
  • Strong ability to manage complex sales cycles and engage with scientific and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to operate independently in a dynamic, technical environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 35 percent, including domestic and international travel.
  • Academic background in life sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field preferred.
