Job Description

Employee Resource Navigator

  • POSITION STANDARDS
      • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, Counseling, Education, or related field, required.
      • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in service coordination, case management, community resource navigation, human services program management, or a closely related field.
      • Experience in healthcare, social services, or employee wellbeing settings strongly preferred.
      • Ability to build and maintain community partnerships and resource networks.
      • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Demonstrated competency in active listening, motivational engagement, and trauma-informed communication.
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
      • Skilled problem-solving skills in complex or sensitive situations.
      • Unwavering commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics.
      • Culturally responsive and adaptive approach to engaging diverse employee populations.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and ability to maintain program data and metrics.

    • Position Objective
      • Serve as an advocate and trusted resource for employees to improve their well-being and productivity. Provide confidential guidance and facilitation of resources to assist employees, and where applicable, their families, in assessing needs and handling personal or work-related challenges. Create, implement and monitor support plans while maintaining strict confidentiality. Collaborate with leadership, human resources and community networks to facilitate employee access to internal and external resources. Lead and facilitate initiatives to promote well-being, inclusion and access. This position plays a key role in employee retention and organizational culture.

    • Performance Expectation
        1. Engage in and establish trusting, confidential and collaborative relationships with employees across all departments and levels of the organization.
        2. Advocate for employee needs and facilitate the navigation of accessing complex systems and required processes.
        3. Interview employees to assess needs and provide counsel, support, crisis intervention and appropriate and timely referrals.
        4. Facilitate, monitor and accurately record employee referrals to internal and external programs and agencies for mental health, financial and/or legal issues.
        5. Partner with external agencies, state and federal resources, community organizations, and educational providers to strengthen relationships and streamline access to resources.
        6. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of state, community, and organizational resources and supports for employees and their families.
        7. Collaborate with departments such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Wellness, and Employee Assistance Programs to promote resource access and program alignment.
        8. Initiate and facilitate workgroups to address employee wellbeing, communication and inclusion.
        9. Deliver outreach, education, and communication to employees and leaders on available supports, emerging needs, and wellbeing topics to promote awareness of available support and resources.
        10. Track program outcomes; maintain confidential data and records.

        13. Maintain ongoing professional development and knowledge of best practices in case management, employee support, referral coordination, workplace wellbeing, and community resource systems.
