Job Description
NM Residential is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team at The Westbury Apartments.

This role is responsible for applying paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and surfaces within apartment units and common areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, filling holes, removing nails, and removing switch plates, outlet covers, and other fixtures as needed
• Perform minor repairs, including drywall repair and scraping old or peeling paint prior to application
• Protect surrounding areas using appropriate materials such as drop cloths to prevent damage
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, lacquer, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, balconies, and other surfaces
• Clean up work areas upon completion, including removal of debris, paint chips, and empty containers, and dispose of materials properly
• Return unused paint and supplies to designated storage areas
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of painting and drywall repair experience preferred
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the painting trade
• Ability to properly prepare and apply paint to a variety of surfaces
• Strong attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
