What You’ll Do
As a Registered Nurse, you will report to the Director or Manager. You will provide professional nursing services in the area of assignment. You will assess the needs of patients and initiate, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care. You will collaborate with other professional, clinical, and ancillary staff in providing compassionate and quality care to patients.
Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities
- Performs high-risk, high-frequency clinical procedures safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations
- Prioritizes patient care activities based on acuity, resources, timelines, and patient needs
- Identifies and responds to physical or emotional health risks, taking appropriate action
- Maintains accountability for personal and delegated decisions using clinical judgment and standards of practice
- Seeks guidance or utilizes resources when unable to act independently or safely
- Develops and updates individualized patient care plans with measurable goals and interventions
- Ensures continuity of care across the patient care continuum
- Adjusts care plans based on patient outcomes, effectiveness, and satisfaction
- Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and consistently
- Communicates effectively with care team members to support positive outcomes
- Delegates tasks appropriately while maintaining responsibility for outcomes
- Demonstrates leadership through mentoring, precepting, and supporting team development
- Advocates for patients and families to ensure appropriate care outcomes
- Addresses conflicts and provides constructive feedback to improve practice
- Participates in departmental and organizational decision-making and adapts to change
- Maintains clinical competence and stays informed on advancements in the field
- Supports departmental goals, including clinical excellence and patient satisfaction
- Completes additional duties and contributes to overall team effectiveness
What You Bring
As a Registered Nurse, you will demonstrate advanced knowledge and competency in nursing care, including assessments, treatments, and clinical procedures, while applying strong analytical skills to solve complex patient care issues and make informed decisions. You will exhibit effective interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with patients, staff, and physicians, and conveys information clearly both verbally and in writing. You will maintainflexibility and adaptability in scheduling to support team and departmental needs, while working independently with initiative and self-motivation.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nursing program and RN license in the state of Indiana
- Within 5 years of employment as an RN, obtain a BSN or certification in your area of specialty
