Senior Software Engineer - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that power durable execution for demanding AI and enterprise systems. You will join a team that is focused on building a reliable foundation for developers and enhancing their experience through world-class open-source software. Your contributions will impact how compute is managed in the cloud, ensuring seamless functionality for various execution environments. Accountabilities
  • Create new managed compute primitives with clean APIs.
  • Design autoscaling systems for predictable worker fleet scaling.
  • Define architecture for cohesive compute capabilities across platforms.
  • Architect and operate high-performance task execution services.
  • Manage cloud integrations including secure networking and IAM boundaries.
  • Implement operational features like SLOs and load testing.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of API design and rollout strategies.
  • Lead design documentation and technical reviews.
  • Influence cross-team platform changes.
Requirements
  • Experience in building distributed systems or multi-tenant platforms.
  • Strong understanding of concurrency, performance, and reliability.
  • Proven ability to ship platform primitives like APIs or control planes.
  • Comfort in managing outcomes, including incident responses.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Experience in Go is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms is desirable.
  • Knowledge of IAM/security boundaries for cloud execution models.
