Custodial Technician in Portland, Oregon at Akicita Federal, LLC

Perform custodial services to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for Veterans, staff, and visitors. This role is not located in patient care areas.

Primary Location: 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, OR

Schedule: 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM (Monday -Thursday or Tuesday Friday)

12:00 AM to 10:30 AM (Monday to Thursday or Friday to Monday)

Responsibilities

Restroom Maintenance: Clean and disinfect all restroom surfaces three times daily using hospital-grade germicides; perform weekly machine scrubbing of floors after hours.

Floor Care: Daily sweeping, dust mopping, and damp mopping of hallways, corridors, and common areas.

Terminal Cleaning: Perform intensive daily terminal cleaning of vacant clinic exam rooms at the end of the day, ensuring all high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, light switches) are disinfected.

Trash Removal: Empty, sanitize, and reline trash receptacles four times daily (three times during core hours, once after hours).

Office Cleaning: High/low dusting and floor maintenance in administrative spaces; reporting any cleaning refusals by occupants to the Shift Leader.

Requirements

Security: Must successfully pass a Tier 1 Background Investigation (NACI) and fingerprinting prior to starting work.

Uniforms: Must wear a standard, neat, and recognizable custodial uniform with appropriate closed-toe safety footwear.

Compliance: Complete annual VA Privacy, Information Security, and Bloodborne Pathogen training.
