About the Role:

The Experienced Assistant Property Manager at Legend Oaks Apartments plays a critical role in supporting the overall management and operational success of the residential community. This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of property operations, ensuring resident satisfaction, and maintaining the physical and financial integrity of the property. The role requires close collaboration with the Property Manager to implement leasing strategies, coordinate maintenance activities, and enforce community policies. The Assistant Property Manager acts as a key point of contact for residents, vendors, and staff, fostering a positive living environment and addressing concerns promptly. Ultimately, this position contributes to maximizing occupancy, optimizing revenue, and enhancing the reputation of Legend Oaks Apartments within the local market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management.
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish due to frequent communication with Spanish-speaking residents/customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or similar industry certification.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and local landlord-tenant regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist in budgeting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance coordination.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests to ensure high levels of resident satisfaction.
  • Support leasing activities by conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements in compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff and external vendors to schedule repairs, preventive maintenance, and property inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records related to leasing, resident accounts, and property expenses, and assist in preparing regular management reports.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations consistently to maintain a safe and pleasant living environment.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management tasks, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Participate in marketing efforts to promote the property and attract prospective residents.

The required skills enable the Assistant Property Manager to efficiently handle leasing processes, resident relations, and property maintenance coordination on a daily basis. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for managing multiple tasks, resolving resident issues, and collaborating with team members and vendors. Proficiency in property management software facilitates accurate record-keeping, rent collection, and reporting, which are critical for operational success. Preferred skills such as knowledge of Fair Housing laws and budgeting enhance the ability to maintain compliance and contribute to financial planning. Additionally, bilingual communication skills improve engagement with a diverse resident base, fostering inclusivity and community satisfaction.
