Reimbursement Specialist

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will manage end-to-end reimbursement processes while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely support for patients and healthcare partners. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to secure funding approvals and optimize coverage outcomes.

  • Manage and track reimbursement cases from intake through resolution, ensuring adherence to service standards and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with physicians, insurance providers, pharmacies, and internal teams to prepare and submit coverage requests
  • Analyze eligibility criteria and funding options across public, private, and federal programs to maximize patient access
  • Prepare and review documentation, submissions, and communications related to reimbursement and coverage decisions
  • Monitor case progress, follow up on outstanding requirements, and resolve issues or escalations efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, case updates, and adverse event reporting when required
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and contributing to operational enhancements
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings experience in healthcare, insurance, or pharmaceutical environments, along with strong analytical and communication skills. You are comfortable handling sensitive patient information and navigating complex reimbursement systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, insurance, healthcare, or related customer service environments
  • Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes (public, private, or federal funding), considered a strong asset
  • Experience in patient support programs or healthcare claims coordination is preferred
  • Post-secondary education in healthcare, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple cases and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
