This role plays a key part in supporting patients by helping them navigate prescription drug coverage and reimbursement processes across public, private, and insurance systems. You will act as a central coordinator between healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmacy teams to ensure patients receive timely access to treatment. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will also contribute to improving reimbursement outcomes by identifying funding options and optimizing coverage strategies. Working in a collaborative and mission-driven setting, you will directly impact patient access to essential medications. - Coordinate and manage all aspects of prescription drug reimbursement to ensure patients obtain timely and appropriate coverage.
- Liaise with insurance providers, physician offices, healthcare professionals, and funding programs to maximize reimbursement solutions.
- Prepare, organize, and submit all required documentation to insurance companies and public or federal funding programs.
- Conduct financial means testing where required to support optimal patient coverage eligibility.
- Coordinate pharmacy processes once funding approval has been secured to ensure seamless patient access to medication.
- Maintain strong knowledge of public, private, and federal reimbursement systems and funding mechanisms.
- Report adverse events to appropriate internal departments in accordance with established procedures.
- Support additional operational tasks as required to ensure smooth reimbursement workflow management.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or administrative roles within an office environment.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance sectors is considered a strong asset.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous telephone manner.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Competitive salary range of $41,800 – $64,350 CAD, based on experience and qualifications.
