| Required License/Registration/Certification | Licensure through the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care at time of hire. |
| Physical Requirements | The ability to regularly lift, carry, push and/or pull 25-100 lbs., as well as stand, walk, and sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments, and occasional job-related travel. |
| Shift | This is a night shift position, 7:00pm – 7:30am, with required weekends, holidays and on call hours. |
| Job Summary | The Respiratory Care Supervisor – Golisano Children Hospital will be responsible for the immediate supervision of technical and clinical operations for Respiratory Care Services. This individual will review work schedules and ensure efficient day-to-day operations for each modality, as well as quality assurance of patient care services. Will also serve as a resource and mentor for staff, and a liaison for Respiratory Care staff who see pediatric patients throughout the hospital. Additional duties will include quality, compliance, customer service, and staff management. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills; extensive knowledge of various computer programs; exceptional leadership skills; and extensive adult critical care skills and knowledge. |
