Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides therapy services. Participates in treatment team meetings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Participates in formulation of treatment and after care plan. Provides community education services as needed. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed.
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrate the ability to provide services including individual, group, and family therapy based on a theoretical and ethical frame work, i.e., Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy to patients across multiple developmental stages and within an acute care setting.
- Demonstrate the ability to complete a clinical interview and review information with patients and family members.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate clinically with staff within various roles.
- Demonstrate the willingness and ability to actively participate in helping achieve the objectives of the department; able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Demonstrated the ability to complete all required trainings and/or certifications and attend all required meetings.
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities; able to tolerate high stress situations / mental demands and make decisions that are ethically and legally sound.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Master degree in social work, psychology, counseling or marriage and family therapy from an
accredited school required.
Work Experience:
At least one year experience in the mental health field required.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Licensed to practice in MS as indicated by educational specialty (LPC, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW)
Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below
- Basic Life Support

Must have a high energy level and be capable of handling high pressure situations. Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks, cooperate with others, take orders, follow directions and demonstrate leadership and initiative in providing services.
