About This Position

Description:

Are you passionate about beauty and eager to start your career in the salon industry? We're looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Salon Assistant to join our team and grow with us!

What You’ll Receive:

Hands-On Experience: Work alongside top stylists, learning the latest techniques in hair care, coloring, and styling. Grow Your Skills: Get hands-on training, observe professionals at work, and take the first step toward becoming a licensed stylist.

Salon Assistant Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Perform shampoo and conditioning treatments for milk + honey guests.
  • Maintaining laundry for the salon.
  • Ability to perform a variety of cleaning duties including but not limited to mopping, sweeping, dishes, cleaning the bathroom, and taking out the trash.
  • Ability to exemplify milk + honey’s Core Values in every interaction with guests and coworkers.
  • Adherence to all Attendance and Punctuality policies.
  • Present a polished and professional image at all times.
  • Be able to lift up to 25lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.

Work Hours and Compensation:

  • Salon Assistants work a mixture of AM and PM shifts, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Compensation starts at $15.

Requirements:
  • State Cosmetology License
  • Weekend and night availability is required
  • Ability to hear so as to effectively understand customer’s needs
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and remain attentive to guests' needs
  • Ability to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Sensitivity to unnecessary waste of product and a willingness to act to reduce waste
