Objective

Reporting to the EVP, Growth and Trade, the Program Manager, Pharma Relations, is responsible for serving as the primary business relationship manager of and liaison with assigned pharmaceutical manufacturer accounts. In this capacity, the Program Manager will oversee and be responsible for contract performance, adherence and compliance, managing and reporting on KPI’s related to the specific accounts, prepare for and conduct regular client business reviews, serve as the internal point person and subject matter expert for assigned accounts, and effectively represent the clients’ interests between internal departments.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for establishing, cultivating, and maintaining all aspects of the Company’s interactions and overall business dealings and contract obligations with specified Pharmaceutical Manufacturer clients
  • Data oversight; ensuring accuracy, timeliness and contract compliance
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned Trade clients on behalf of Company to support and monitor contract adherence, perform quarterly business reviews, ensure performance improvement to program standards
  • Facilitates the required communications, directions, oversight and interaction with Company departmental functions necessary to ensure full adherence to all contractual obligations with Company’s Pharmaceutical Manufacturer clients and the overall satisfaction of same with the Company
  • Implementation of all elements of new contracts
  • Responsible for understanding, monitoring and ensuring Company’s success with all contract requirements with assigned Pharmaceutical Manufacturer clients
  • Responsible for management of Company’s database of Trade and Pharma client contracts to ensure it remains updated
  • Responsible for facilitating contract renewals with assigned Pharmaceutical Manufacturer clients
  • Develops custom sales presentations and produces proposals
  • Supports Company’s presentations, meetings, etc with Pharmaceutical Manufacturers as assigned
  • Represents Company at industry trade events with Pharmaceutical Manufacturers as assigned
  • Monitors and ensures client satisfaction and retention
  • Works in partnership with the Clinical and Operations and Field Sales teams to understand client needs and market conditions
  • Provides individual account input to contribute to the forecasting process
  • Partners with all company departments to ensure Pharmaceutical satisfaction with performance
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Experience successfully working in a cross-functional organizational environment
  • A minimum of 4 years related and progressively responsible experience in contracting, consultative selling for high-end products in life sciences/similar industry and trade relations
  • Willing to travel up to 30% for business purposes
  • Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • New product/program implementation experience

Preferred

  • MBA/MS in Business or related field with 7+ years of experience in a related field
  • Experience working with Pharmaceutical Manufacturers/Wholesalers in a trade and vendor role in the Specialty Pharmacy, Home Infusion and/or Ambulatory Infusion markets
  • Experience in contract management with Pharmaceutical Manufacturer clients
  • Data, quality and analytics expertise
