About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY
The Coordinator of Athletics Operations provides day to day operational support for Athletics, including but not limited to coordinating office tasks, assisting with scheduling, managing records, and facilitating communications to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
Responsibilities:
• Support day to day office operations within the Athletics Department, including supplies, office organization, and coordination of basic facility’s needs.
• Assist with scheduling meetings, practices, and events for Athletics staff, coaches, and student athletes, and maintain shared departmental calendars.
• Serve as a point of contact for Athletics office communications, including phone calls, emails, and walk in inquiries, routing information to appropriate staff.
• Assist in the management of athlete eligibility and compliance records in collaboration with appropriate compliance personnel.
• Assist with travel arrangements for athletic teams, including transportation, lodging, meals, and detailed itineraries.
• Assist with financial tasks for Athletics, such as processing invoices, monitoring expenses, and collaborating with Finance to ensure accurate transactions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or equivalent coursework, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Proven experience providing executive level administrative support and/or Athletics administrative experience, preferably in higher education.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Board members, senior leadership, coaches, students, and external partners.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across the President’s Office and Athletics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling, records, and database systems; experience with Board management and Athletics software preferred.
• Demonstrated discretion and judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Multilingual skills highly preferred.
• Ability to contribute to a climate that supports a diverse student body, serves first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice through their work.
