| Shift | NOTE—this posting is for an as needed (non-benefitted) pharmacist position in the Hazard/Hindman locations for UKHC Retail Pharmacies. Primarily covering shifts as needed including shifts at any of the Hazard(North Fork Valley) and Hindman (June Buchanan) UKHC retail pharmacy locations. Must be available to work during operating hours of the location. Operating hours, schedule and shifts needed are subject to change based on location and scheduling needs of assignment area. |
| Job Summary | Provide patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written orders from physicians. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and ensures that drug interactions are considered. Manage inventory and technician staff to provide excellent customer service. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate and be understood in the English language. |

| Preferred Education/Experience | Ambulatory/Retail Pharmacy Experience preferred. PharmD or BS from College of Pharmacy with eligibility to be licensed in KY. |
