ATS-Family Counselor/Therapist at Crouse Hospital – Syracuse, New York

Crouse’s Addiction Treatment team at Erie Boulevard provides a comprehensive system of assessment and outpatient treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders by integrating physical, mental and spiritual healthcare practices for patients and families.

The Addiction Treatment team is hiring a Full Time Addiction Treatment Family Counselor/Therapist.

Pay Range: $29.00 - $35.50 / hourly.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. One evening 10-hour shift per week required, 8am-7pm. One Saturday shift and one Sunday shift per month required. Shift differential pay offered for evening and weekend hours.

Addiction Treatment Family Counselor/Therapist Position Responsibilities:

• Performs assessments which include the identification of cultural differences in planning for patient care.
• Provides treatment to individuals affected by a loved one’s addiction.
• Incorporates knowledge and evidence-based counseling intervention into all facets of interaction with patients.
• Demonstrates competency in the provision of service.
• Curriculum development.
• Formulates diagnostic impressions.
• Provides appropriate referral for follow-up.
• Document client notes clearly, concisely and according to policy.

Addiction Treatment Family Counselor/Therapist Position Requirements:

• 3 years of addiction counseling experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• OASAS QHP designation.
• LMFT, LCSW, or LMHC required.
