Sterile Processing Technician Lead at Central Peninsula Hospital – Soldotna, Alaska

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the director of the Surgical Services Director, this position is responsible for the operational functions of CPH Sterile Processing Department. Responsibilities to include compliance with regulatory agencies, including the Joint Commission's standards and supervising daily activities of SPD staff including, staffing schedule and assignments, biologicals, inventory sheets, monthly reports, needs of daily surgical schedule, instrument repairs and call schedule.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED, 2 years clinical /hospital sterile processing experience, knowledge of surgical Instrumentation, ability to perform multiple tasks, ability to work independently and with others, basic knowledge of asepsis and universal precautions required. Certification in Sterile Processing and a minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred.
