2025-2026 Floating Substitute Teacher at Crescent City Schools – New Orleans, Louisiana

The Floating Substitute inspires students and staff by:

• Being an active member of the school team by embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission and values of the school
• Maintaining rigorous academic culture in the absence of a teacher
• Maintaining positive classroom culture across the school, modeling the use of behavior incentive and discipline systems in the absence of a staff member
• Maintaining positive school culture during critical points of the school day and year – arrival, dismissal, recess, and testing days
• Providing classroom culture support on an as-needed basis
• Taking on other tasks, as needed

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• This is an in-person role
