Position Requirements

Conveniently located in the heart of Knoxville, Tennessee, Turkey Creek Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of services as part of Tennova Healthcare, one of the state's largest healthcare networks. The facility features a 24/7 emergency department, intensive care unit, advanced surgical suites, and a dedicated Heart Hospital. The adjacent Tennova Surgery Center West includes four fully equipped operating rooms and two advanced endoscopy suites, providing a robust and diverse clinical environment.

This opportunity is ideal for a fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist seeking a collaborative practice with a strong cardiovascular program, excellent work-life balance, and highly competitive compensation.

• Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments

• Obtain and/or verify informed patient consent

• Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and expected outcomes with patients and families

• Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

• Monitor patients' physiological status throughout procedures

• Manage hemodynamic and clinical interventions as necessary

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, proceduralists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

• Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Tennessee medical license

• Demonstrated expertise in the perioperative management of complex cardiac surgical patients

• ECFMG certification (if applicable)
