Part-Time Restaurant Host in Washington, Dist. Columbia at The Jefferson Hotel, Washington DC

The Jefferson in Washington D.C. is currently recruiting for a Temporary/Part- Time Restaurant Host to join our highly acclaimed and award-winning Food & Beverage Team.

The Jefferson, Washington D.C. has been named one of the top hotels in Washington, D.C. and presents this exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in growing within a setting that finds delight in the details that take our guests experience beyond expectation.

The expected duration of this position is from the end of May to the end of August, primarily providing weekend coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Provide the highest quality of service through the coordination of activities in the food and beverage areas.
• Provide courteous and prompt service to patrons, schedule reservations through our reservations systems, and arrange special services for diners.
• Greets patrons, controls the room through proper organization of guests’ seating, respond immediately to questions, and provide instruction to the staff on specific guests’ requests.

Qualifications:

• Prior Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Polished, professional appearance and welcoming, approachable demeanor.
• OpenTable experience is a plus.
• Part-Time Weekends Only.
• Stable work history.
