About This Position

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to the Insurance Billing Manager for supervision and day-to-day operations of the Insurance Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

Education/Regulatory Requirements:
-
High school graduate or equivalent required.
-
Associate Degree preferred.
-
Minimum of two years experience working in hospital billing setting required.
-
Thorough understanding of different insurance plans, government agencies, Medicare and Medicaid preferred.

Experience with SSI and Meditech is preferred.

Skills:
-
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills required.
