Tutoring Manager at College Nannies + Tutors of Indianapolis + Carmel – Carmel, Indiana

Seeking experienced teacher who is passionate about education with an eye for details to support local tutoring team

College Tutors of Indiana has an opening for an experienced educator who shares our drive to empower young students through becoming truly proficient in math, language arts, and science. This candidate will have in-school teaching experience and will support the business through managing administration tasks (scheduling, data entry, invoicing), communicating with prospective and existing tutoring families and schools, and contribute to the development of our new Proficiency Builders/PrepLogX model.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum two years of in-classroom teaching, preferably teaching math or ELA, within the grades 6-12
• Degree in subject specialty with current Indiana Teaching Certification
• Experience related to working with education models and related tools, with some exposure to analyzing data for assessing proficiency levels
• Strong communication schools, enjoys conversing with students and families about working towards academic progress and goal accomplishments
• Committed to success of all students
• Comfortable with standard IT tools – Google, spreadsheets, and word docs
• Ability to work three days/week in our Carmel Learning Center, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays or Thursdays
• Able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Scheduling: helping with entrance of tutoring schedules and adjusting when needed
• Data entry: entering student, school, and family information into tutoring platform
• Communications with families and schools occasionally
• Assist with matching tutors with new students
• Support invoicing process
• Work with manager, lead tutors, and owner in the development of new tutoring model
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing tutoring models

This position will start as a part-time, hourly role, working Mondays, Tuesdays, and choice of Wednesdays or Thursdays, in our Carmel Learning Center.
