Marketing Intern at The Oak Room – Mesa, Arizona

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are a new Gastropub in downtown Mesa and are looking for a fun and energetic individual to work with the Owner / GM on marketing as an unpaid Intern. For the selected candidate, this is a great opportunity to apply your business education and get real world experience for your resume! Job Functions will include:

• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, refining the marketing plan including the marketing vision, goals, strategy, messaging, and tactical initiatives to achieve these goals
• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, developing a marketing kit for press, potential customers, partners, and advertisers
• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, designing and participating in targeted social media campaigns
• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, engaging with customers, soliciting feedback, and making improvement recommendations for the marketing program
• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, leveraging staff and personal networks to increase visibility and promote the restaurant
• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, improving our web presence and image; limited Search Engine Optimization
• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, developing and participating in an off-site marketing event
• Under the direction of the Owner/GM, developing innovative, effective, and inexpensive marketing tactics for implementation

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary business education (preferably in business)
• Minimum age of 21
• Good Moral Character

SCHEDULE & PAY:

• This is a part-time, flexible hour, and unpaid position designed specifically for job training and gaining practical real-world experience under the guidance/direction of the Owner/GM.
• The selected candidate will work with the Owner/GM to develop the specific work plan and tactical initiatives that they will participate in
• The restaurant may elect to provide meals, etc when the candidate is working on site.
