POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION: SALES ASSOCIATE (Up to 40 hours/week)

SALES ASSOCIATE

FUNCTION: To complete responsibilities related to convenience store operations that ensure a successful experience for our customers.

RESPONSIBILTIES

CUSTOMER SERVICE (SUPER 7)

• Greet and acknowledge each customer.
• Dress in accordance with company policy.
• Be friendly and polite – smile.
• Sell and upgrade car washes.
• Sell and upgrade product specials
• Present change back appropriately.
• Thank each customer.

STORE APPEARANCE

• Remove all trash debris from the store, car wash and grounds.
• Maintain clean appearance of gasoline islands.
• Keep interior of store clean (entrance, counters, floors, shelves, restrooms).
• Any task relating to overall store appearance that needs attention.

MERCHANDISE MANAGEMENT

• Face, forward, rotate, price and stock cooler products.
• Face, forward, rotate, price and stock shelf products.
• Build and maintain temporary product displays.
• Inform Store Manager of out-of stocks or customer product requests.

CASHIERING

• Learn product characteristics required to complete a transaction.
• Process all customer transactions in a positive and timely format.
• Maintain visual supervision of store exterior including gasoline islands.
• Greet each customer through the intercom at the gasoline islands or through a verbal introduction as upon entrance to the store.
• Attempt to recognize and greet each customer by name.
• Apply the SUPER 7 steps to the sales function.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds as well as be mobile to bend, twist,stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull and carry.

• Must be of an outgoing, enjoyable personal character.
• Must enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable and self-motivated.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must not have any history of back or muscle injury that could be aggravated from this role.
