About This Position
Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant (PA) provides comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient setting under the supervision of a licensed physician. Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, developing treatment plans, providing education, managing follow-up care, and coordinating with other healthcare providers to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct initial and follow-up patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Document all patient interactions and medical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Manage chronic conditions and perform health maintenance visits.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans in accordance with protocols and physician guidance.
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone or secure messaging and coordinate appropriate care or referrals.
- Communicate with referring and primary care providers regarding patient status and care plans.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Licensed (or eligible) as a Physician Assistant in the state of employment.
- National certification as a PA (e.g., NCCPA).
- Proficient in using electronic medical records and standard clinical tools.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Salary: $110,000 to $145,000 per year DOE
