About This Position
Job Summary:
Westchester Medical Center (WMC) and Advanced Physician Services (APS) invite applications for a dynamic early to mid-career physician with a strong clinical and academic interest in Benign Hematology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving academic medical center with a multidisciplinary Cancer Institute and robust Hematology programs.
We are particularly seeking a physician with experience and passion in Benign Hematologic disorders, including but not limited to, thrombosis and hemostasis, sickle cell disease, hemoglobinopathies, cytopenias, and platelet disorders. You will play a key role in both outpatient and inpatient benign hematology consultative services, as well as contribute to our growing efforts in clinical research, protocol development, and patient-centered innovation in non-malignant blood diseases.
Candidates with additional expertise in Malignant Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, and Cell Therapy are encouraged to apply. A leadership opportunity as Medical Director of Adult Hematology may be considered for highly qualified applicants.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care in benign hematology, with a strong emphasis on outpatient and inpatient consultation.
- Participate in and/or lead clinical research initiatives in benign hematology.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows as part of our academic commitment to New York Medical College.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team that includes specialized programs in oncology and cellular therapy.

Qualifications / Requirements:
- MD/DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Hematology.
- Eligibility for a New York State medical license.
- Strong clinical expertise and scholarly interest in Benign Hematology.
Academic Appointment:
Faculty appointment at New York Medical College, with academic rank and compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
