About This Position

** This is an in-person position at our South Allentown main campus. **
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Answers and appropriately directs phone calls or provides information received from Good Shepherd’s main outside Customer Service Phone lines. Greets visitors and provides customer service needs to all who enter the building. Provides clerical support regarding additional assigned tasks.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • ASSISTS CUSTOMERS ENTERING THE FACILITY
      • By addressing their needs and directing them to their proper destination.
      • By working with all Hyland Center departments handling customer service requests.
    • FACILITATES TELEPHONE CALLS MADE TO THE FACILITY’S MAIN TELEPHONE NUMBERS & DISTRIBUTES INFORMATION
      • By routing calls directing calls to their proper recipient/destination.
      • Employs excellent interpersonal communication skills.
      • Utilizes hospital’s computer systems effectively.
    • MAINTAINS SAFE AND HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT WITHIN THE FACILITY
      • By assisting with coordinating all outside phone calls, keeping up-to-date emergency numbers, department directories, and key personnel directories so as to be able to appropriately route incoming calls and provide accurate information.
    • COMPLETES ADMINISTRATIVE CLERICAL PROJECTS
      • By efficiently and accurately completed additional assigned administrative tasks that might be assigned to occur in-between phone calls, including receiving FAXs and distributing to appropriate locations
    • CONTRIBUTES TO A POSITIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT
      • By addressing work duties and concerns of customers in an effective and positive manner.
    • CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT
      • By accomplishing related results as needed.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.       • Education
        • High School Diploma required
      • Work Experience
        • 2-4 years of experience as a receptionist preferred
      • Licenses / Certifications
        • N/A
