Wilsonart is seeking a Regional Distribution Sales Manager for the East Coast. Candidate must reside within the territory and be commuting distance to a major airport.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze sales statistics to formulate selling strategies.
- Acts as a liaison between the sales department and other sales-related units.
- Establish annual business plans to ensure sales goals and performance objectives are met or exceeded.
- Work with independent distribution sales team to target specific accounts for new product sales or increased penetration of existing sales.
- Develop and analyze sales reports to determine where both growth and decline in sales is occurring.
- Implement price increases and react to competitive activity with proper documentation.
- Coordinate/Follow-up with internal specifications sales team.
- Accurately report and drive market/customer opportunities for the business
- Deliver on Annual Revenue
- Drive growth agenda: Project Tracking Reviews & Execute Marketing Calendar
- Demand Creation: Build Opportunity Pipeline through Target Projects, Target Accounts and Erosion Recapture
- Develop Customer Base, Regional Sales and Marketing Programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strategic Mindset with ability to Translate Big Picture into Objectives
- Financial Acumen including previous P&L Responsibility
- Knowledge of Arborite Surfaces and its value proposition
- Knowledge of Purchase for Resale Products (Finishes, Hardware, Abrasives, etc.)
- In-Depth understanding of Decision-Making Value Chain from Demand Creation to Demand Fulfillment
- Demonstrated ability to value sell in the Building Materials Segment
- Ensures Accountability & Drives for Results
- Proven ability to lead a diverse team across many job types/disciplines
- Ability to manage conflict in the work environment
- Advanced Communication Skills: Verbal & Written
- Advanced Time Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Advanced Microsoft Office Software capabilities (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.)
- Ability to travel
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree
EXPERIENCE:
- 4+ years of outside sales experience
- Experience in a similar industry to Wilsonart is a plus.
- Experience with independent distribution partners is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
ENVIRONMENT: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Examples: executive, management and support positions
