Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Logistics Coordinator to support the seamless delivery of our products from origin to destination. In this role, the successful candidate will enhance logistics operations by coordinating with carriers, optimizing shipping and routing processes, and meticulously managing documentation and timelines from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily shipments with carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Track shipments proactively, provide stakeholder updates, and troubleshoot delays.
  • Prepare and manage customs documentation to ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
  • Support the filing, tracking, and resolution of freight claims with carriers and internal teams.
  • Review and reconcile freight invoices for accuracy, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Address shipping-related customer inquiries via phone and email, delivering prompt and professional service.
  • Generate accurate freight and dimensional estimates to support sales quotes and operational planning.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to shipping and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in logistics coordination, shipping, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn shipping software applications.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings.

Working Conditions

  • This role primarily operates within an office environment but may involve occasional visits to warehouses or shipping facilities.
  • Regular collaboration with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers.
