In this role, the successful candidate will enhance logistics operations by coordinating with carriers, optimizing shipping and routing processes, and meticulously managing documentation and timelines from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipments with carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx) to ensure timely deliveries.
- Track shipments proactively, provide stakeholder updates, and troubleshoot delays.
- Prepare and manage customs documentation to ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
- Support the filing, tracking, and resolution of freight claims with carriers and internal teams.
- Review and reconcile freight invoices for accuracy, resolving any discrepancies.
- Address shipping-related customer inquiries via phone and email, delivering prompt and professional service.
- Generate accurate freight and dimensional estimates to support sales quotes and operational planning.
- Identify and suggest improvements to shipping and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in logistics coordination, shipping, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn shipping software applications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds is required.
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings.
Working Conditions
- This role primarily operates within an office environment but may involve occasional visits to warehouses or shipping facilities.
- Regular collaboration with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers.
