The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University’s mission and values.Duties and Responsibilities:The postdoctoral researcher will be expected to participate in the project’s work and lead a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers performing the following major tasks:
- Design experimental apparatus, systems, and instrumentation
- Supervise and participate in the construction and/or assembly of experimental apparatus, systems, and instrumentation
- Set up instrumentation with control software
- Acquire data from apparatus and systems
- Create simulation models and perform simulation of test apparatus and cooling devices and systems using commercial software
- Participate in weekly meetings and help to prepare reports and presentations for project sponsor.
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Experience with hardware development and instrumentation required, as well as experience with software tools such as ANSYS Fluent, MATLAB, EES, and LabView.
