Overview
Direct and implement all aspects of the Colleges scheduling system management to ensure that the College meets its strategic priority of providing a transformational dental education for our students. Direct all aspects of scheduling process, technology, and scheduling logistics for over 60,000 schedules at the College. Direct all aspects of implementing new systems and enhancing existing systems. Devise short and long-term strategies for communicating the scheduling messages through multiple channels. Assists the Colleges senior leadership to effectively communicate the scheduling to multiple constituencies, including, but not limited to departmental chairs, program directors, faculty, administrators/staff, and enrolled students. Manage the scheduling team who are responsible for creating and executing the strategic and tactical schedule plan.
Responsibilities
Required Education:
Bachelors degree
Preferred Education:
Masters degree in Operations Management (process efficiency and effectiveness), or Technology (integrated planning, design, optimization, operation and control) or Logistics (supply chain, workflows and governance)
Required Experience:
7 years of management or equivalent experience. Ability to manage complex process management projects using technology as the key driver. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Ability to work with project management software such as Microsoft Project.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working at a large academic institution, or academic health center
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent writing, editing, communication, management, and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and colleagues from a variety of backgrounds across the school. Ability to communicate with NYU Dentistry and New York University leadership on all aspects of communications.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with scheduling process and systems; interest and technical acuity to seek out, evaluate, and apply appropriate new tools and approaches.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $156,094.67 to USD $196,094.67. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
