Surgical Tech - Safety Sensitive at White River Medical Center (Health System) – Mountain View, Arkansas

Surgical technologists are members of operating room team, who provide surgical care to patients under the supervision of the Surgeon or the Circulating RN. Surgical technologists help prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment and sterile supplies for invasive surgical procedures. Surgical Technologist facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and appropriate supplies are readily available. During the surgical procedure, the surgical technologist is responsible for anticipating the needs of the surgeon by passing sterile instruments and providing needed supplies. Their responsibilities require them to have outstanding knowledge of surgical protocols, sterile and aseptic technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation and supplies.

Job Requirement:

· Experience in a surgical or procedural area

· Ability to take surgical call

· Ability to stand for long period, reaming and attentive

· Able to lift 25#

· Ability to withstand extreme temperatures

· Exposure to blood, body fluid, tissue specimen and orders
