About This Position
Position Description:
Sadler Brothers Trucking is seeking a dedicated individual with expertise in transportation logistics and operations to join our team in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seek freight hauls to ensure efficient backhaul return to Nashville and satellite offices.
- Coordinate and confirm local trips within Nashville and surrounding areas.
- Manage local and regional drivers to optimize daily performance.
- Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate contacts.
- Liaise with customers regarding all freight operations, including confirming pickups, deliveries, and rate confirmations.
- Monitor electronic logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Ensure drivers adhere to schedules for all routes, maintaining a 100% on-time performance record.
- Generate and compile reports as directed by the Terminal Manager.
- Utilize company software to generate freight trips.
- Process and file all paperwork for daily payment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years' experience in the trucking industry.
- Strong background in logistics and asset-based operations.
- Proficiency in managing truck loads and brokerage.
- Familiarity with day-to-day operations, both local and regional.
- Ability to navigate freight load boards and identify backhaul opportunities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Thorough understanding of DOT regulations.
- Prior experience in customer service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage stress.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to industry requirements.
