Position Description:
Sadler Brothers Trucking is seeking a dedicated individual with expertise in transportation logistics and operations to join our team in a full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek freight hauls to ensure efficient backhaul return to Nashville and satellite offices.
  • Coordinate and confirm local trips within Nashville and surrounding areas.
  • Manage local and regional drivers to optimize daily performance.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate contacts.
  • Liaise with customers regarding all freight operations, including confirming pickups, deliveries, and rate confirmations.
  • Monitor electronic logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure drivers adhere to schedules for all routes, maintaining a 100% on-time performance record.
  • Generate and compile reports as directed by the Terminal Manager.
  • Utilize company software to generate freight trips.
  • Process and file all paperwork for daily payment.
Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in the trucking industry.
  • Strong background in logistics and asset-based operations.
  • Proficiency in managing truck loads and brokerage.
  • Familiarity with day-to-day operations, both local and regional.
  • Ability to navigate freight load boards and identify backhaul opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Thorough understanding of DOT regulations.
  • Prior experience in customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage stress.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to industry requirements.
