Nurse Practitioner - Pavilion Family Medicine in Warner Robins, Georgia at Houston Healthcare

The family nurse practitioner (Houston Family Care at Pavilion) is a licensed practitioner, who under the general guidance of faculty physicians, helps patients heal from various conditions. The nurse practitioner carries out evaluations before and during administered care to monitor patients’ progress. Prescribes medication to patients as necessary, educates patients and their families regarding the care provided and the care that can be continued from home. Will provide referrals to community services that will assist in the patient’s plan of care.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a nurse practitioner with at least one (1) year in primary care.

Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (AANP) license from the Georgia State Board of Nursing. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS and AHA/ARC PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Must have strong clinical decision-making skills, knowledge and utilization of current best practices, and the ability to establish and maintain an effective, respectful relationship with patients, families, hospital and clinic staff, faculty, and physicians.

Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
