Accounts Receivable Manager - Located in Greenville, SC

Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the accounts receivable department to ensure timely and accurate customer statements, collections, and reporting. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage and mentor a team. The Accounts Receivable Manager will work closely with operations and billing to ensure efficient cash flow and support the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage Accounts Receivable Team:

• Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of accounts receivable staff
• Delegate tasks and monitor the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly activities

1. Collections:

• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts
• Communicate and deliver monthly statements to customers
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue invoices

1. Customer Relations:

• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to billing and payments
• Maintain positive relationships with customers while ensuring timely payment

1. Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis, cash flow projections, and collection efforts
• Analyze trends and provide insights to improve collections and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Develop and implement procedures to streamline accounts receivable processes
• Provide feedback for billing and operations

1. Collaboration:

• Work closely with the operations team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Coordinate with the sales department to address issues related to customer credit and billing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
• 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role
• Proven experience in managing a team and handling complex accounts receivable processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
