Café del Sol Barista JOB DESCRIPTION: PART TIME

Staff of Life is a Natural Foods Market locally owned since 1969. We are looking for a barista for our café who is a positive, self-motivated team player, high energy, outgoing, can be productive and enjoy working while graciously engaging with our customers and coworkers. We are looking for someone with open availability including evenings (until about 7:30pm), weekends, and holidays.

PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE:

Prepare and serve delicious organic coffee, espresso, juice, and smoothie drinks in a high volume, fast paced atmosphere.

Serve bakery and other prepared food items

Keep café workspace and public area clean

Stock supplies, proactively anticipate needs

Operate the register, cash handling and payment processing

Greet EVERY customer and offer assistance.

CA law requires food service employees to complete the ServSafe Food Handlers course online within the first 30 days of hire
Follow all health, safety and sanitation laws, rules, & guidelines
Clean up any debris throughout the day
Other duties as needed or assigned by store management.

IDEAL ATTRIBUTES

Minimum 1 year Barista/Juice/Smoothie Bar experience
Cashier experience
Positive, energetic, outgoing personality
Self-motivated team player
Knowledge or interest in natural and organic foods
