Beer Diplomat - Server at Frankenmuth Brewery – Frankenmuth, Michigan

The main focus of our Beer Diplomat servers is to provide an exceptional beer experience for guests, while serving delicious food items and displaying excellent customer service.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This position reports to the Supervisor or Manager on Duty

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Have an enthusiastic and friendly personality and be able to engage with guests of all types
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Servsafe certified
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work well with others
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Must be comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment
• Have knowledge of craft beer and display a passion for ongoing beer training
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
• Be able to fulfill physical requirements – able to carry heavy trays of up to 20lbs

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Must be a team player, who is willing to go above and beyond to accomplish the common goal of The Frankenmuth Brewery – Create an exceptional guest experience!
• Greet guests promptly, with an enthusiastic attitude and warm smile
• Obtain an Intermediate Beer Diplomat Training certificate
• Be able to converse fluently about our craft beer and make recommendations
• Ensure timely delivery and presentation of food and beverages to guests
• Prepare final bill in a timely and accurate manner, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)
• Suggest additional menu items and beverages to compliment a guest’s meal
• Upkeep cleanliness of dining room sections and service stations
• Maintain knowledge of all safety and sanitation procedures, and employee policies
• Capable of describing the preparation method, flavor profile, and ingredients of any item on the menu to a guest
• Be knowledgeable in POS training
• Be able to assist patrons with using Untappd and our Perks Program
• Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
• Participate in teamwork with fellow Beer diplomats and all of our Frankenmuth Brewery employees
• Check customer I.D. to confirm drinking age and follow requirements to provide a safe atmosphere
• Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisors and/or Managers
