Position Type + Hours

This is a permanent full-time, non-exempt position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday. Shift is a mid-shift, between 8am - 8pm, 40 hours per week. Saturday hours are at times necessary based on equipment and business needs.

Job Description

The Facilities Technician, as part of the maintenance team, will focus on the upkeep and maintenance of the building. Some tasks would be:

  • Upgrades and repair work to walls, doors and other facilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct plumbing, HVAC filters, clean high spaces, change light bulbs, hang wall décor and other common building maintenance
  • Maintain functionality with common household appliances
  • Support the upkeep with external building appearances and relationships with vendors, including landscape
  • Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements
  • Advises operators of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components
  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment
  • Performs preventive maintenance functions
  • Communicates with Maintenance Safety Supervisor
  • Ensures that all production equipment is maintained and running
Requirements:
  • Maintains a safe work environment
  • Able to safely lift 50 pounds
  • License to Electrician
  • Use of hands/arms in repetitive motion
  • Able to walk and be on one's feet for duration of shift

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior experience with measuring tools is a plus
  • Experience with 3-phase, 480
