At Beacon Veterinary Specialists, we’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Veterinary Care Coordinator. In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring smooth workflows, fostering relationships, and helping to deliver exceptional patient care, with the added convenience of working from home!
*Please note that this remote role requires availability during Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) business hours.
What You’ll Do:As a Veterinary Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and low-stress experience for our clients and their pets. You will be supporting the doctor and staff in a variety of ways:
Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, guiding them through the consultation and treatment process.
Supporting doctors by managing schedules, confirming appointments, and ensuring that all necessary records are up to date.
Assisting with client education, answering questions, and providing updates on patient progress.
Working closely with our specialists to enhance patient care, ensuring that each client understands the treatment plan and has a positive experience.
Verifying prescriptions for accuracy, finalizing and calling in medication requests, and ensuring all related documentation is properly communicated to clients.
Coordinating with referring veterinarians, handling lab work, and ensuring that all medical information is accurately conveyed.
The Ideal Candidate Would Be:
A compassionate communicator who can build relationships with clients.
A veterinary technician or assistant with at least 3 years of experience in specialty or emergency care.
Someone who is proactive, organized, and loves working independently.
A team player who values the importance of every role in delivering exceptional care.
