Operations Supervisor - Diving in Groton, Connecticut at Electric Boat

The primary job will be to supervise a crew of Divers in all facets of Submarine work. Diving will be accomplished at all times of the day across multiple shifts and in all weather conditions.

Diving teams are capable of working various construction/repair tasks including: Structural, mechanical, electrical as well as Ships Husbandry tasks such as inspection, preventative maintenance and Hull Cleaning. Candidate must have the ability to lead the Dive team which involves Planning, Preparing and Executing all assigned work safely with first time Quality. Candidate must have the ability to set, assign and measure daily production goals, provide technical expertise, instruct, mentor, coach and be a team motivator. Candidate must support department goals for Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule, and Continuous Improvement.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of Diving Supervisory Experience (DPIC experience acceptable) or 3+ years diving experience while holding ADCI supervisor card
• CPR Qualified
• Available to work Overtime
• Available to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift

Preferred:

• Proficient on a computer with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Valid Supervisor Surface Supplied Air Card (Example: ADCI- Association of Diving Contractors International) or prior Military Diving Supervisory experience (US Navy, Army Corp of Engineers, Coast Guard, Air Force, etc.)
