The role carries significant influence, supporting the scaling of complex, high-impact technologies used to protect critical infrastructure worldwide. You will help define global privacy frameworks while guiding the organization through rapidly evolving AI and data protection regulations. It offers exposure to cutting-edge AI, cybersecurity, and international regulatory challenges in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and maintain the global privacy and compliance framework, including policies, standards, templates, and operational processes across jurisdictions.
  • Advise product, engineering, and security teams on privacy, AI governance, and regulatory compliance throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Draft, review, and maintain legal documentation such as privacy policies, data processing agreements, and customer-facing legal terms.
  • Support incident response efforts related to security breaches, vulnerabilities, and product-related legal risks.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial and product-related agreements with enterprise and government customers.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving global regulations related to privacy, AI, and data protection, including GDPR, CPRA, and the EU AI Act.
  • Develop internal policies, training programs, and playbooks to strengthen organizational awareness of legal and compliance obligations.
  • Provide practical legal guidance to executive leadership on emerging risks and strategic product decisions.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of legal experience, ideally combining law firm and in-house roles within global, high-growth technology environments.
  • Strong expertise in privacy, AI governance, and technology-related regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, CPRA, and similar laws.
  • Experience building and scaling global privacy compliance programs in complex enterprise or SaaS organizations.
  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar with a Juris Doctor degree required.
  • Certifications such as CIPP or CIPM are a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, security, and executive stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong business acumen with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to legal risk.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure while maintaining precision and sound judgment.
  • Interest in contributing to a scaling legal function within a high-growth organization.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus and equity eligibility.
  • Remote-first flexibility within the United States, with optional in-office presence depending on location.
  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of AI, cybersecurity, and global privacy regulation.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Exposure to high-impact, mission-critical technology protecting global infrastructure.
  • Collaborative, fast-growing environment with strong cross-functional engagement.
  • Opportunity to shape foundational legal frameworks in an evolving AI-driven industry.
