This role is focused on advancing mobile application security through deep technical work on iOS app analysis, combining mobile engineering expertise with innovative security research. You will contribute to the development of both static and dynamic analysis tools that detect vulnerabilities and privacy risks in iOS applications. Working within a highly collaborative, engineer-driven environment, you will help improve systems that automatically inspect and instrument mobile apps at scale. The role involves researching new detection techniques, building security checks, and enhancing scanning capabilities used to protect end users. You will collaborate with a distributed engineering team across multiple countries, contributing directly to product direction and technical innovation. This is a highly hands-on engineering role where curiosity, experimentation, and ownership are strongly valued.

• Develop and enhance iOS application analysis tools focused on identifying security and privacy vulnerabilities in mobile applications.
• Improve and maintain static analysis systems that inspect IPA files to detect potential risks and insecure behaviors.
• Work on dynamic analysis frameworks that instrument iOS apps at runtime to observe behavior and identify malicious or unsafe actions.
• Research and design new security detection rules and scanning capabilities to strengthen automated analysis engines.
• Collaborate with a distributed engineering team to build scalable, high-performance mobile security solutions.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal tools and open-source components related to iOS security analysis.
• Investigate iOS application behavior using runtime inspection techniques and mobile reverse-engineering approaches when applicable.

This role requires strong iOS engineering experience and a solid foundation in mobile application development, ideally with at least 3+ years of relevant experience. Candidates should be comfortable working with low-level iOS systems, runtime behavior, and tool development. A strong software engineering mindset is more important than prior security-specific experience.

• Strong experience developing iOS applications and/or engineering tools for mobile platforms.
• Solid understanding of the iOS runtime and application architecture.
• Experience writing tools or scripts in Python for automation or analysis purposes.
• Ability to analyze application behavior and work with complex mobile system interactions.
• Familiarity with Objective-C runtime concepts (e.g., method swizzling) is a plus.
• Exposure to reverse engineering or instrumentation tools such as Frida or CydiaSubstrate is a strong advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for how mobile applications work under the hood.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
